TANGO: PAISAJES INTERIORES
Para crear esta serie de pinturas Raquel Partnoy eligió las letras de tango donde mayormente se describen las escenas urbanas de Buenos Aires. Lo que ella deseaba capturar no era solamente el paisaje de esa ciudad sino también, y muy especialmente, el paisaje interior descripto en las letras de tangos. Ellos fueron los espejos de la vida ciudadana que le permitieron ver sus caracteres en sus diversos matices: el barrio, el bandoneón, la nostalgia, el último salón de baile.

TANGO: INNER LANDSCAPES
Raquel Partnoy chose the tango lyrics where mostly urban scenes were depicted to create this series of paintings. What she wanted to paint was not only the landscapes of Buenos Aires but also the inner landscapes found in the lyrics. They were the mirrors of the city's life that allowed her to see its characters in their diverse shades: the neighborhood, the bandoneon, nostalgia, and the last dancing room.
